NutriRisk offers professionals the possibility to show their patients the causes and consequences of malnutrition in a simple way. Based on various patient characteristics, it is possible to calculate the individual benefit of nutrition therapy. In addition, a nutrition algorithm is provided, which can be used to demonstrate the approach of nutrition therapy.

In the context of 'severe complications,' one might refer to, for example: admission to the intensive care unit, non-elective hospital readmission, nosocomial infection, respiratory failure, major cardiovascular event, acute kidney failure, strong decline in functional status.
