Information NutriRisk

NutriRisk offers professionals the possibility to show their patients the causes and consequences of malnutrition in a simple way. Based on various patient characteristics, it is possible to calculate the individual benefit of nutrition therapy. In addition, a nutrition algorithm is provided, which can be used to demonstrate the approach of nutrition therapy.

The given estimated values fo the risk and risk reduction calculations are based on the following literature:

  1. Schuetz P, Fehr R, Baechli V, Geiser M, Deiss M, Gomes F, et al. Individualised nutritional support in medical inpatients at nutritional risk: a randomised clinical trial. Lancet. 2019;393(10188):2312-21.

In the context of 'severe complications,' one might refer to, for example: admission to the intensive care unit, non-elective hospital readmission, nosocomial infection, respiratory failure, major cardiovascular event, acute kidney failure, strong decline in functional status.
